Rick Busby grew up on a farm outside of the small town of Hephzibah, Georgia and graduated from Hephzibah High School in 1977. He attended Georgia Southern College and began working full time for the family business in 1979, after spending years as a summer helper. Rick worked his way through the company from sales, service manager, warehouse, office, Vice President, and finally became President in 2004. Rick is married to his wife Tammy of 30 years and has two daughters, Lauren and Kristen, who are now both working for the company as well. Rick enjoys hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors. He is also a published author and speaker.
Stephen graduated from George P. Butler High School in 1982 and attended Augusta Technical Institute. He began his career at Busby’s in 1983. He has worked his way up through the company serving as a technician, Service Manager, Operations Manager, and now as Vice President. He has three children Nicole, Kuleigh, and Corey. He is very involved in the community where he has served on numerous boards.
Kristen graduated from Evans High School in 2011 and Georgia College & State University in 2015 with a degree in Business Management and Magna Cum Laude honors. Kristen began working at Busby’s seasonally when she was 14 years old and joined the Busby Team full time in May of 2015. Outside of the office she enjoys baking, spending time with her dog, and driving her Jeep.
Dustin joined the Busby Team in 2010 and developed expertise in the areas of service and maintenance before working in the warehouse. His skill set lies in organization and inventory management, which he greatly enjoys. Dustin has been married to his wife Brandy since 2007. Together they have one son, Austin, who is 5 years old and the light of their lives.
Sean was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey. His family moved up and down the east coast before they settled in Powder Springs, GA. He graduated from Hillgrove High School with honors in 2012 and Georgia College and State University in 2016 with a degree in Business Management. Sean joined the team in 2016 in accounting and moved his way up into the service department shortly after. Outside of work he enjoys any and all sports as well as cooking. He also a member of Young Professionals of Augusta.
Laura has been a part of the Busby team since June 2015. She has a daughter Kathryn and a grandson Xaander. She has been in the HVAC industry since 1994 both on the distributor and contractor side. She enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her grandson and reading.
Sydney was born in Okinawa, Japan and lived in various places before her family settled in South Georgia. She has an undergraduate degree in Business from Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia, and graduated from Augusta University with a Masters of Business Administration in 2016. She joined the Busby’s Team that same year. Sydney is married to her husband Jonathan of 20 years and in her spare time enjoys playing with her dog and reading.

Lauren (Busby) Ladun graduated from Evans High School in 2007 and Georgia College & State University in 2012. Lauren began working at Busby’s seasonally when she was 14 years old but has been on the Busby Team full time since 2012. Lauren and her husband Joseph have one child Avett.
Tracy graduated from Westside High School in 1981 and Augusta State University in 1986. Tracy joined the Busby Team in 1989 and enjoys baseball, football, and golf. He and his wife Michelle met in middle school and have three children: Brooke, Heath, and Tanner.
Joshua grew up in the Atlanta area. He graduated from Griffin Technical College in 2003 after completing their HVAC program. Joshua worked 17 years in the industry, all with the same company before moving to Augusta and joining the Busby’s Team. He has many certifications and years of field experience to better understand our customer’s needs. Outside of work he enjoys time with his wife, Jennifer, and their only child, Ansley.
Kane joined the Busby team in April 2018. He was born and raised in Augusta, graduating from Cross Creek High School in 2007. Kane and his wife Jordan have one son, Maddox. He enjoys hockey, reading, and being outdoors with his friends and family.
